Hi folks,

I was directed to this newsgroup.

I need to write a service app in BCB5 and communicate with a VB.NET front
end program done by another developer, both to run on the same PC.

Essentially the BCB svc app will collect some data through devices connected
to the PC and the VB.NET program will collect that data from, as well as
send
instructions/config data to, the svc app. The VB.NET program will handle all
GUI aspects.

The actual data volume is not much - something like 20 byte messages at the
rate of about one every couple of seconds or so.

Anyone can suggest a method, both simple and effective, with emphasis on
both ? This has to be doable for both BCB5 and VB.NET of course. Does BCB6
have any additional advantage over BCB5 within this context ?
