Launch an application which my application needs running - and then close it when my app closes. The launch is OK and I can get the correct handle by checking the window text. I just thought it would be tidier if I could do this using a process ID. I suspect that you are right in suggesting that the application I launch with CreateProcess()is spawning its own process. If this is the case, would that be a child process of the the one spawned by CreateProcess()? Can I extract ChildProcessIDs? Must be able to. RTFM, Mark. My app takes a data feed from TeleText. The application which extracts the teletext data from the TV card is called - in this case - vtplus32.exe. It finds particular TeleText pages and saves them to a text file, which my app then parses.
