You can get the window class in other ways, for instance from EnumWindows
and EnumChildWindows.

For a remote control you probably also need to know how COM  works.  Spend a
little time with the docs on it.

One thing which is not easily seen in the help files is how to identify a
window when given the name of the exe which created it.  I don't know if it
will help you but there is a chance that you would find it useful.

I have a small piece of code which does that and to which I added a demo
part when someone on these groups was asking about how to do such a thing.
It is C++ and Windows API code, not VCL code.  If the macro "DEBUGGING" is
not defined when it is compiled, the demo portion is commented out.

I've placed the source, batch file to build it and exectuable for the demo
into a zip file and placed it in the attachments newsgroups,
borland.public.attachments  The message title is Windows From File
