Please could someone shed some light on how shutdown (s, SD_SEND) works. From my understanding, this instruction would tell winsock to close the socket once *all* the data enqueued in the socket buffer is sent. Right? I've done this n = send (s, buf, len, 0); // checking n here. shutdown (s, SD_SEND); Then I WSAWaitForMultipleEvents and close the socket on FD_CLOSE. All this works fine. The problem is that FD_CLOSE is triggered before all the data is sent - the first 8k are sent and then FD_CLOSE fires. Anyone know why???? Tharun.
