How do i kill a window

i've used shellexecute to start an application. With findwindow command i've
locate the handle to that window, now i just need to kill that application.
How is it? I've tryed with CloseWindow() but it will only minimize the
window. With the DestroyWindow()  it will not happen anything.
Can anyone help me???
