Hi, Does anyone know a way to tell if two filenames actually refer to the same file? For example: c:\temp\share\alongfilename.txt \\computer\share\alongfilename.txt c:\temp\share\alongf~1.txt could all be the same file. Is there a way to ask Win9x/NT/2000/XP if two filenames point to the same file? Or do I have to resort to checking sizes / dates? Many thanks, Dave Richards.
