Troels, Thanks much for the input. A couple of quick thoughts: The machine is the same one for coding, demos, and final use of the software. The client loaned me the machine so I'd be doing the development on the end-use system. (My machines are all macs or linux). So I haven't actually tried the binaries on any other machines, but since old binaries work fine on this one but new binaries don't, I assume the problem is in the binary and not a DLL. I will reinstall BCB as soon as possible. Unfortunately the client handed me the machine and their BCB box but the disks weren't in the box so I'm hoping they can get that to me soon. As far as patterns to the programs... none use threads, and I even went back and tested this on a copy of the "text editor" demo application from the tutorials, which I did four months ago as a quick way to get familiar with the VCL. The problems occurred even in that simple app, and the last time I opened that code it was perfectly stable. Thanks again, Evan "Troels Jakobsen" <dont@like.spam> wrote: >Sounds like a situation where the programmer's credo applies: >reinstall and reboot.
