Through much testing, the easiest solution I can find, without resorting to intercepting Window messages directly (which is the other solution) is to just use the form's OnCloseQuery event instead of its destructor. I find it VERY disturbing that the VCL and OS working together would not allow such object destructors to be called correctly in the first place. Gambit
