That's what it seems.

I made a small app using Duane's code and the dtor
is called when closing the main form, but it is not
called if the app is running and I log off (Win98SE
here).

Then a "message mapped" WM_QUERYENDSESSION and coded
in the handler:
Message.Result = true;
Close();

For this handler things are inverted: the handler is not
called when normal closing the app but it is called when
the app is running and the user logs off.

I haven't tested under XP/2k.
