Thanks Bob, but it doesn't really resolve my problem. Firstly I don't want to split my icons up. Secondaly, my icons are stored in a resource that is built into the application - I don't want to have to bother with additional DLL's. Lastly - Microsoft can do it so so should we. There must be a system by which somehow release LoadIcon!!! Please Help................
