For a bit of fun and a learning curve (I think i have a strange idea of fun but hey) I have sat down and begun planning a remote desktop interface.
I have worked out how to get a list of windows to the client, thats easy. I havn't yet but can probably implement getting the class information of a specific window to the client.
However, in all your TeamB and general Guru knowledge, can you give a simple outline explanation on how to get a all the items on a windows form and then recreate them in an MDI form. I don't think I will be needing code or anything just an explanation. However, the more i think about it the more is baffles me as to how to recreate an exact window remotely- it can't just be based on system wide hooks? can it?
I was also think and then i rejected the idea that its all done by sending an image of the desktop and just mapping mouse clicks on the bitmap to the remote desktop. However, is this the way to do it?
Thanks if you give me any help on this- everything is much appreciated, even if its just telling me to buy a specific brand of coffee before starting.
