Because the files are designed for use with Microsoft VC++, not any of Borland's compilers. They are not compatible, they use different library formats. You need to use the actual DLL directly. If you want to use a .lib file with it, then run the DLL through the IMPLIB tool instead of COFF2OMF. Gambit
