That's why I also mentioned the use of AttachThreadInput() and GetActiveWindow(), to attempt sending the message to the very specific child window that actually has the input focus. If an application supports Ctrl-C and such, then chances are it also supports WM_COPY as well. It's not just for edit windows, despite MS's documentation. However, it is also not a guarantee, either. Individual applications are free to handle copy/paste however they want. There is no solution that covers 100% of all scenerios. Gambit
