Screenshots of all visible windows

Hi,
I'm currently involved in a project where screenshots of all windows
currently visible are needed, including minimized windows. I got this
working by restoring one window after the other and setting it
foreground. Then I got the DC and used BitBlt etc. I have three
questions:

- When doing screenshots the way I do now, sometimes windows are not
completely redrawn. Is there a way to wait until a window is ready
with drawing?

- Is it possible to tell a window to draw itself into a device context
provided by my app? For example I create a bitmap, resize it to the
target windows rectangle and now would like to tell the window to draw
on the bitmap. This would be much easier than having to deal with
SetForegroundWindow etc..

- I have an MDI application that also needs to be shot. Especially the
MDI child windows! I noticed however that those are no top level
windows they always seem to be children of a class MDIClient which
itself is child of the main form. What is the best way to detect
whether an application is MDI and how to screenshot/SetForeground the
MDI child windows?

thanks for any idea,
Nick
