Hi.
I'm not sure that I'm posting this message to the right newsgroup.
I want to write an application that communicates with a device connected to
parallel port, and I'm wondering is there some component that enables you
access to p.p.? Can I download some free source from web? Also, how can I
speed up time between some line on p.p. changes state to when I detect it in
my app under windows? I know that windows optimizes access to ports, so it
doesn't generate an event immediately when change occurs. I remember when I
worked with serial port, I had delay (~25ms) from time when character
arrives, or CTS/DSR changes, to time I had event in my app.(I created my
own component that used WaitCommEvent in thread). Can I speed up delay on
serial port?
