I would be remiss not to mention that you can set a spawned process's environment during the CreateProcess api without modifying the parent process's environment, by setting the lpEnvironment parameter to a "null-terminated block of null-terminated strings." Basically, this is just a block of memory that has a bunch of null-terminated strings followed by another null indicating the end of the block. -- -- Early Ehlinger CEO, ResPower Inc - Toll-Free : 866-737-7697 -- - RenderFarm - Lightwave , 3dSMax , Bryce , Maya , AfterEffects - --- www.respower.com -- 500+ GHz Starting At USD$0.50/GHz*Hour -- ----------------- SuperComputing For the Masses! ---------------- "I'm so busy programming my computer to let me be lazy, I never get any rest!" - John Kaster
