This is interesting, I am thinking you application, Remy, is interrupt driven rather than poll driven, thus no matter how many threads there is, the only time there is activity is when the device requires servicing?? And that you are not actually polling and requesting servicing of the device? I think people have the wrong impression about threads, and how they can be used.
