If your just looking to use the registry for simple reading and writing (ie.
Read and Write keys) you can use the TRegistry class.

TRegistry *Reg = new TRegistry;
if(Reg->OpenKey("MyKey", false))
{
    AnsiString MyData = Reg->ReadString("SomeData");
    Reg->CloseKey();
}
delete Reg;
