The MIDI-USB doesn't come with driver and it works fine with the XP
generic USB audio device driver (with my laptop). There are more
people having similar problem with XP USB audio driver,

The cable is detected in the device manager, but the MIDI device is
not found. So, I'm thinking to write my own routine to access the USB
Audio Device and get the ID of the MIDI device from there.
