thanks for the reply - maybe i didn't explain myself very well.

This was a conceptual question, as in i don't really have any intention of 
doing it, just wanted to know if it is possible.  My example was just that - 
an example.  My management application works fine for us, i could code my 
own SFTP communications or use the code from WinSCP if i really had the time 
or the need - which i don't; the point of the management suite is to speed 
up the mundane day-to-day tasks.

What i wanted to know, is, is it possible to embed an Win32 application into 
my own application - a bit like when you use the OLEContainer VCL.  For 
example, you can spawn a TForm then assign it's parent to a panel and it 
will, in effect, become embedded within that panel - i just wanted to know 
if that sort of thing is possible with whole application, that do not 
support automation.

It's purely out of interest.
