I'm not sure if there is a better way but a literal translation is:

  void Eject(String CDROM)
  {
    Variant::CreateObject("Shell.Application").
      OleFunction("Namespace", 17).
      OleFunction("ParseName", CDROM.c_str()).
      OleProcedure("InvokeVerb", "E&ject");
  }

  // Usage
  Eject("E:\\");
