You didn't say why you want to know this. If you just need to keep
your stuff visible, you might try the WS_EX_TOPMOST style.

You might try using   IsIconic( hwnd)

Are you using VCL?
You might want to start your window search with Application->Handle ?

Again, it might be helpful to explain what you are trying to
accomplish, because this sounds like you are trying too hard to do
something simple.
