Remember "phreaking", where transatlantic cables would have scanners attached 
to try to intercept the phone traffic?

It all reminds me of the desperate "hackers" who used to sit in vans outside 
of banks, with equipment to pick up the electromagnetic radiation from the 
tellers' VDUs! The ghost-like images would sometimes be just enough to make 
out a username. Hackers have come a long way since, thanks to the glaring 
security holes in XP! Check out
