example, a button being clicked again which a previous click is still being
processed).

You cannot filter out particular messages when calling ProcessMessages().
It is an all-or-none operation.  If you need to filter out messages, then
you need to pump the message queue manually via the Win32 API
Peek/GetMessage(), TranslateMessage(), and DispatchMessage() functions.  Do
note, however, that doing so will prevent the VCL from performing special
processing on certain types of messages (messages, dialogs, etc) that
ProcessMessages() normally performs.
