Are you compiling in the IDE ? If you are, you should try compiling via the 
command-line, or by using one of these two programs:

ProjectMaker - http://helene-lange-weg.mine.nu/Rutsch/cppcorner.html

Bcc32Pch IDE plugin - http://andy.jgknet.de/cpp/

You might see around a 50% compile speed improvement.
