OK, below is the AllocateArray functions they are using. Below that is a 
description of the GetSymbols( ) function. Your advice is great appreciated.


SAFEARRAY *_cTC2000::AllocateArray( const VARTYPE _type )
{
 SAFEARRAYBOUND aDim[1];
    ::memset( aDim, 0, sizeof( aDim ) );
 aDim[0].lLbound = 1;
 aDim[0].cElements = 1;
    SAFEARRAY *pArray = SafeArrayCreate( _type, 1, aDim );
 ASSERT( pArray );
 return pArray;
}


GetSymbols() expects expects two SAFEARRAY one array is a string identified 
as BSTR named "Symbols" and the second SAFEARRAY is a long named 
"WordenNumbers"

void GetSymbols( SAFEARRAY(BSTR)* Symbols,  SAFEARRAY(long)* WordenNumbers);
