I was kind of hoping that you would answer my questions. I don't have a problem with finding suitable containers for text. The class you suggested uses RICHED20.DLL and the window classes RichEdit20A and RichEdit20W. My problem is using the nativeapi. If I make an ASCII app, I get questions marks for non-ASCII characters. If I make a UNICODE app, all my win32 api calls fail, including LoadLibrary to load RICHED20.DLL. Again, are you making with UNICODE or (_UNICODE) defined? What version of windows are you using? Have you tried you app with Windows 98? If so what were the results? Thanks for sticking with this! best regards, Gary
