I have used > this method and it works quite well. Agreed. I would suggest having the DLL expose a status callback that the main app can pass in a handler function for. The DLL can then execute the callback with status information as needed, and the app can display the status info however it wants. Don't put the progress UI in the DLL at all. Gambit
