Has something changed? When I last looked neither C nor C++ provided means for reading file times. Both of stat and fstat were provided as extensions but are part of Posix and not of the C or C++ standards. Also note that he was using FILE* access and neither stat nor fstat takes a FILE* argument. They operate on an int file handle such as is returned by open or _rtl_open. .
