In main code module: FT264 StartTime; Then your CopyRoutine() >Was it right to put the declaration of the FT264 into the header? Thats fine. as it doesn't allocate any memory, just tells compiler what one looks like. If for some reason, you need to access those variables from another module, you can add this to the header (after defining what an FT264 is): extern FT264 StartTime; Means, that it is defined and exists somewhere, not nessasarily here. (It can be here, or in another module, but can only be defined once. Best place whould be in the copy module.) There are other, more complex methods that would allow for multiple copies to be performed, each with their own set of timers.
