Hi all,

I need a fullscreen application that allows the user to
launch a limited number of applications like MS Access etc.
Moreover, the user should not be able to work with the
default desktop, taskbar etc. (Target machine is XP)

What I've done so far:
Created a Launcher-App that creates a new blank Desktop
without taskbar and start-menu.
The Launcher then switches to that desktop, starts my
actual app there and waits for it to terminate. That all works fine.

The problem is that my app should behave like a 'Shell'
but behaves like any regular form except that it's full-screen.
F.e. the user starts MS Access from my app. Access pops
up. If the user now clicks inadvertently on my app it comes to
foreground and Access is lost and hidden behind my app.
(No taskbar available here!!)

Is it possible to have my app always behind all other windows?

I thought about writing an Active Desktop extension. Either by converting
my app to a web page or rewriting it as an ActiveX control. In both
ways I assumed I could embed it into the active desktop. It worked
with the default desktop but not with my newly created desktop.
Any ideas why? The web page does not appear on my blank new Desktop
instead it shows up on the default desktop when I switch back.

Are Active Desktop items shared between desktops?
