Our file server has two network cards, one of which is connected directly to
a backup server. While the second card is enabled, the rest of the network
connected to the file server is slowed down terribly. So, I want to write a
little program that enables the card right before the backup is scheduled to
start and disables it right before we open. So far, the only solution has
been to completely disable the card. When we do so, there are no negative
consequences.

If there is a command line method to disable/enable the card that would be
fine, but I could not find one.
