That is not the correct replacement.  You need to use the IID of the
interface, not its CLSID, ie:

    HRESULT hr = ::CoCreateInstance(CLSID_SpStream, NULL, CLSCTX_ALL,
IID_ISpStream, (void **)ppStream);
