Hi all, I want to write a small IDE, just like Delphi or BCB, 
place components on a form and so on, you know. The problem is: 
I don't want real components on my form with their OnClick, 
OnChange and whatever events. I just want to draw them on the form's Canvas. First I tried to create them with new and BitBlt
them to my form, but it showed they need a Canvas. So I used a
second hidden form to hold them, but it showed: As form 2 is
hidden, the controls are hidden too and are not drawn at all.
If I open the second form, it works, but of course I don't want
to show it.

So: Is there an API function to draw a component, like

  DrawControl("button", 10,10,100,20, "press here"); ?

Or must I create some special canvas resp. dc to do the trick?

What do you suggest?
