Hi,

One month ago I asked how to properly set in WIN 2000 keep_alive parameter
for TCP/IP

My problem is - I wrote an application client server.

Server have to know if the application is still alive without sending ping
or any higher level
"keep alive messages"

I followed the article:
http://www.sybase.com/detail/1,6904,1013181,00.html

The registry entry for Ti is a DWORD value with millisecond units:

      \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
     \System
      \CurrentControlSet
       \Services
        \Tcpip
         \Parameters
          \KeepAliveTime

The registry entry for Nm is a String value:

      \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
     \System
      \CurrentControlSet
       \Services
        \Tcpip
         \Parameters
          \MaxDataRetries

The registry entry for Td is a DWORD value with millisecond units:

      \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
     \System
      \CurrentControlSet
       \Services
        \Tcpip
         \Parameters
          \KeepAliveInterval

but it does work at all :(

Any suggestion??

Best regards
