ShellExecute - IE

        When I call an internet address via ShellExecute, address is opening
in opened IE window. How can I open it in a new IE window?

ShellExecute (NULL,"open", "www.av.com", NULL,NULL,SW_RESTORE);

Hi,

I used CreateProcess to open a URL in IE and it always opens in a new
window. In case it does not there's a command line switch (-new) which
you could try:

For example:

STARTUPINFO si;
ZeroMemory(&si, sizeof(STARTUPINFO));
si.cb = sizeof(STARTUPINFO);

PROCESS_INFORMATION pi;
ZeroMemory(&pi, sizeof(PROCESS_INFORMATION));

CreateProcess(NULL,
              "c:\\programme\\internet explorer\\iexplore.exe -new
http://www.av.com",
              NULL,
              NULL,
              FALSE,
              0,
              NULL,
              NULL,
              &si,
              &pi
              );

//close handles opened by CreateProcess
CloseHandle(pi.hProcess);
CloseHandle(pi.hThread);

Hi,

You can use one of IE's command line parameters, -new to tell it to open in
a new window.

ShellExecute(Handle,"open", "iexplore.exe", "-new www.av.com", NULL,
SW_NORMAL);

Its simple if you don't need all the info returned by CreateProcess.
