Create an email w/body

Hi folks;

I've got my application to bring up my
default email, OE in my case, with a
blank address line, and filled in
subject. So far so good! What I really
want to do is fill the body with the
contents of a TMemo.

I've got ~1k of text which causes an
access violation on the call to
ShellExecute( mailto ...). OE takes
short amounts of text this way, but
screws up the formating by ignoring the
tabs & returns in the text from the
TMemo. So I'm going to have to do some
proccessing here. But that will be a
waste of time if there is a limit on the
size of what I can pass via
ShellExecute( mailto ...).

My other thought was to bring up OE's
new mail window, find the handle, then
the DC of the message area and TextOut
to it. Can this be done? Any other
ideas?

Thx & Happy Easter all.

For what you're asking, don't use ShellExecute() for it. Use
MAPI/SimpleMAPI instead, specifically the MapiSendMail() and related
functions.

Thank You so much Sir!
I get a warning dialog from OE that
another application is trying to send an
email. Then off it goes to OE's outbox.
The text in the message body even looks
nice now!
I did have to IMPLIB MAPI32.dll as I
found you instructed in another thread.

Again,
My Thanks.
