Hi, Not sure if this is the correct group, so sorry if it is not. I am trying to write a win 2000 service that has a server socket running on it and upon receiving a buffer through the socket transmits data to the serial port. Can anyone point me in the direction of some fairly concise help on writing a service in Builder 5? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Tony Forgan.

File > New > Service Application Drop a TServerSocket onto the generated TService's DataModule. Assign an OnClientRead event handler. write your serial port code as needed Gambit
