Simply assign an event handler to the OnIdle event and then call
Application->Terminate(). However, do realize that OnIdle is triggered
whenever there are no messages currently in the message queue to be read.
It's possible that OnIdle will be triggered very early in your application's
life-cycle, thus making it terminate itself right after starting.

I set a timer to one minute and increment a counter. Any action event or
key stroke resets the counter to zero. After the counter hits my target,
the program cleans up and closes.
