I have a console mode app created in BCB5 pro that act as a server for my main GUI based app. I am thinking of making it a service and was wondering what type of effort this will be? What issues should I look out for? Should I even bother? Thanks for any insite. Jeff

Please read the Win32 API documentation, there is a whole section on the requirements for service applications. The documentation also includes several code samples. In particular, your custom implementations of the ServiceMain() and Handler() functions needs to be added to your code, and then your main() function has to call StartServiceCtrlDispatcher() to register the process as being a service.
