Greetings: Is there any way to make a TTreeView object not automatically select the top most visible node whenever it gains focus? All the Best, Rusty

Set this property to the TTreeNode you want in the OnShow event of the form containing your TTreeView. Here's a brief description of how my application is set up. It's an MDI application in which things are dropped into the MDI windows and the names of those items are added to the tree. You can also select multiple items in the MDI view which updates in the tree view. The tree is in its own window that always stays on top. Note that it also supports multiselection. The problem that I'm running into is that whenever I delete things in the MDI child window, there should be nothing left selected in the tree. I have the property set to true that always shows the selection even when the control does not have focus. So, nothing is highlighted after deletion, but whenever I click on the title bar of the window that the tree is in, it always selects the topmost item. How do I make it stop doing that. All the Best, Rusty

Are you explitically setting the TreeView's Selected property to NULL? If not, try that. > I have the property set to true that always shows the > selection even when the control does not have focus. The TTreeView control does not do that on its own. Your own code must be doing something extra to cause the first item to be selected. Gambit
