Video for windows

Hi,

Sorry if this is the wrong newgroup, but it is a hard one to pick...

I have written an app using vfw calls to display video from a usb camera. I
am using it to detect motion. I want the app to run in the system tray and
not appear on the task bar at all. I am using the sample builder 5 trayicon
component for the tray.
The problem is that when I minimize the app (making it disappear from the
task bar) the callback functions for the frame capture don't get called.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Tony Forgan.

Is this app running only on w2k/xp? You might consider trying the old "move
it to a different desktop" trick. See the
CreateDesktop/CreateWindowStation/SetThreadDesktop functions in MSDN. I
honestly have no idea if this will help or not (sorry) but it ought to allow
you to hide the window from view without "hiding" it per se.
