In BCB 5: Is it possible at an application runtime to determing what DLLs and Packages it is using and what the file name are so the application can get the version infor for all of them to put into the about dialog box like Outlook Express does? Thanks in advance for any info. Jeff

Except for explicitly linked items using LoadLibrary/GetProcAddress/FreeLibrary, the DLL's and packages used are determined at link time, and not at runtime. Do this: tdump -em. exename.exe (don't overlook the period in -em. ) to see a list of the DLL's used. A package is a DLL. Repeat that on all the DLL's listed to determine which ones they use. The list is now fixed. It does not change at runtime. You can then add the list as data to the source code for use in querying their version at runtime and reporting what has been found. .
