__findnext returns different results

I have an application written in C. It is compiled in Studio 6 and in
Borland 4.0.
__findnext returns different values in these 2 environments

Does anyone know why?

Thank you
Rony.

What are the differences and what does the code look like?

By "Borland 4.0" do you mean Borland C++ 4.0 or Borland C++ Builder 4.0?

Yes.

In the first case, it is finding the file and returning 0.

In the second case, it is not finding the file, and returning -1.

Mystic Meg solves another problem!

If you'd prefer a sensible answer rather than Mystic Meg's psychic
guesses, then some indication of what your different values are would be
useful. Since in both cases, the documented function returns 0 or -1,
the only guessable conclusion is that the file is being found by one,
not by the other. This could be because you're running the program in a
different place, the file thus not being visible, or even on a different
PC that doesn't have the file.
