Hi at all.
I would want to find a text in a TRichEdit component in both the directions 
(up and down, like notepad); I have tried with the message EM_FINDTEXT, but 
the upward search don't work.

I know that upward search work on Microsoft Rich Edit 2.0 and later; and I 
think that the TRichEdit component, have load the version 1.0. Is it 
possible?
And is possible to load another library?

I use BCB6 on WinXP.

Info about RichEdit versions: (long url, may wrap)

Includes the names of the dlls.
Suggests loading the library to make sure the correct version is
running:
<MSDN>
"Before creating a rich edit control, you should call the LoadLibrary
function to verify which version of Rich Edit is installed"</MSDN>

For XP you would want v3 or v4.

TRichEdit uses the Win32 RichEdit v1.0 control, which does not support
searching upwards.  That was introduced in v2.0, which TRichEdit cannot use.

use newer RichEdit versions in BCB.
