Hello, I use mouse_event(Win32 API) to simulate left mouse button down. It works fine under windows(XP) system. But if I enter screen saver's desktop that the function can't work same as Windows startup logon screen. I don't know why for that. Does anyone can give me a solution for solve this problem? Any help is appreciated. Mike

Under NT-based systems, the login screen and the screensaver both run under different desktops then the one that the user interacts with. Applications running in one desktop cannot send mouse/keyboard input to other desktops. Gambit

What are you trying to achieve? As is often the case there may be an alternative way of dealing with your problem. As remy has stated you cant send messages to alternative desktops. It may be possible if your applicaiton runs in the context of LOCAL_SYSTEM but i can't remember of the top of my head - seems to remember it involved CreateRemoteThread(), GetProcessWindowStation() and EnumDesktopWindows().
