Dear All;
I'd like to restrict some applications from writing
into sertain local folders with common dialogs like
SaveAs. Am I facing a Shell extension, SystemHook or
there are just registry keys to be set? Thanks.

Are these your applications, or someone else's? And, if the latter, just
why do you want to prevent it?

If you are running on an NTFS system, just use permissions and policies.
They exist for exactly this type of control. No code needed.

wouldn't have bothered to post if i had a source code. i'm talking 'bout
whatever is installed: let say user JoeD is not allowed to save his word
documents in CorporateData\Invoices\2006 folder. if it was just ms word
this would be a problem either. any application that uses CommonDialog.
