I need to log user intterraction with my multi form application where each form has many component such as button, edit field, scroll bars, memo field, etc. that user can interract with. I want to log time, and the names of interracted components hierarchically. For example; if a form has a tab sheet and tab sheet has a panel and panel has an edit field and a button, then when user select the edit field and startt typing in it then I need to log time+form name+tab name+panel name+edit field name+pressed key. And my question is how can I detect which component user interracting with? Thanks Miem Reply

If you are using th VCL then you better asked that in borland.public.cppbuilder.vcl.components.using > time+form name+tab name+panel name+edit field name+pressed key. The TEdit has a Parent which is the TPanel. The TPanel has a Parent which is the TTabSheet. And so on. Just recursively follow the Parent until you reach a TForm. Hans.
