I want to make a network monitor program / firewall, like the ones we all know
(zone alarm, mcafee personal firewall etc). Any hints for where to start from
searching and reading?

Write an NDIS device driver that hooks the socket stack directly.

Hi Sam, I did pull down a firewall from the attachments groups a few 
months ago, but I do not know if it would be right to put it back since 
it is not mine. But it did have a email contact in the readme.txt

denisb@k.ro

When I pulled it down it was titled 'My Little Firewall'.

If someone can guide me as to reposting an attachment that does not 
belong to me, then I think you can get it as soon as possible.
