I want to ask expert advise on networked audio application development in
BCB

We have 15 networked computers all in the same domain (192.168.1.XX)
All computers equiped with speaker and microphone. We want to able to
implement Walki-Talki kind of "push to talk" mechanism to talk to computers
on the network. As you know the push-to-talk mechanism is a broadcast
mechanism ie. sender's message will be received all the listeners within the
broadcast range. We want to predefine virtual distances between computer so
that some of the computers will be out-of-range for some broadcast.

Can you advise me how we can implement Walki-Talki kind of "push to talk"
audio broadcast on local network?
Any recomended component, sample code, tutorial etc?

Thank you

You need to use UDP for the actual broadcasting. As for the "distance"
you'll have to include some kind of location value(s) in your broadcasted
data so that your receiving clients can decide whether they are "in range"
before forwarding the audio data to the speakers.

Thank you for your reply.
Do you know any code/component that can brodcast/receive audio over UDP?
